We now have a punch card option if you'd like to pay for 6 sessions at a time, when you drop in the monitor will punch your session to keep track of them. You will be notified when all 6 have been used up!
As artists we grow, learn, and create with time and around others in open studio. We feel that this applies to all ages and want to introduce our first kids open studio. Open studio is a self lead environment. A space for young artists to work on ongoing projects, think and plan, and experiment alongside likeminded makers. There will be no instructor but a staffed artist monitor to help as needed. Experience with Mess Arts Programming is preferred but not necessary to participate, we want to communicate that this is self lead time and is not a fit for every maker! Young artists must be independent and capable to pursuing projects without instruction.
Open studio will be after school Thursdays drop in hours 4-5:30. Drop off is 3:45-4:00 pm where the young artists will have free draw time, cool down after school, and snack. Studio Class will run 4:00-5:30. Open studio members will have access to all hand building tools and a shelf for storage. Each week we will talk about a significant artist in art history!
Firing is $2/lb for work
Please note your child's name & the date they will be attending in the notes. We are offering each class at a sliding scale cost, so select an option on the payment scale that works for you.
