In this class we will be exploring the fundamentals of clay by creating artworks fueled by your imagination! Students will learn techniques such as coil building, pinch pots, slab construction, and sgraffito. We will deep dive into the world of mud- growing our knowledge of the history of pottery and the significance it has played in our world today.

Class Dates:
5 weeks: 2/29-3/28
4-5:30pm Thursdays
Drop off is 3:45-4:00 pm where the young artists will have free draw time, cool down after school, and snack. Class will run 4:00-5:30.
Ages: 7-11
Location: 2217 Columbus St, New Orleans, LA, 70119
Class size: 5-10 students. Class is subject to cancellation if we do not reach our minimum class size, caregivers will be notified 3 days prior and will be issued a refund.
Ceramics roughly take 4 weeks to fire (bisque and glaze), once the 6 week course is finished artists will be notified after the glaze firing has been completed and the work is ready to pickup!
